Thanks George,
I am all finished with the balast work. It has been an adventure but the results are great.
Here's a little shot of the rail yard in all its balasted glory.

Balast and Kato Track
Ok.. I'll get this thread rolling. I have just completed balast work with all of my Kato track and have leaned a lot. If you do not know how to balast track already, this is not a how-to. You can find all you need to know on YouTube. This is specific only to Unitrack. So with that in mind...... I st...

Re: Public beta is continuing
I have not seen a beta for awhile and my 5.08.B1 has expired. Am I behind or are we due for a new one soon?

Re: Layout Advice
I agree. I would add it into the lower spur and also try and tie in at the very upper link. This would give you three points or access and make the TT more dynamic.

I would love to see an archive. Can we make that happen? A place that we can submit layouts.

Re: First layout with RMP
Sorry for the long delay. I have not been able to get into this forum for some time and just now checked and it is working again. The open area is for control and access to the layout for building. It is a very small room so I did not want to limit myself from being able to get in for track maint an...

Re: Working with Shapes
Something to keep in mind for folks that have the older version and are using the updated version with layouts created in older versions. (Wow... that is a confusing sentence. lol) Paraphrase... If you built something in an old version and working with that layout in a newer version... Still bad, bu...

Re: Zoom to Fit doesn't seem to work
When you open a new layout, it will start with a default size. You can go over to the right and select a size that you want the workspace to be. However, if you build outside of that, the desktop will expand as needed to enclose the track and elements. If you build something small in the center of t...

Re: layers
I think what you are asking is how to move to a new layer, or within layers. Correct? If you start with everything in one layer and wish to split them up in groups (Highly recommended) It is an easy process. Select the layer that holds the elements. You can test this by clicking the view button on a...

Re: THIS PRODUCT IS NOT READY!
I myself am perfectly happy with the early rollout. As stated before... reduced price and the beta testing process as well as having a REAL voice in helping with the development of a truly excellent product. If you are wanting a fully developed version, you can go back to RM4... If you want to be pa...

First layout with RMP
So I wanted to share. This is my first layout attempt with Rail Modeler Pro. It is a perfect layout size for a 10x10 bedroom. The table is on wheels so all areas can be reached to build on.
I would love to hear everyone's opinion and thoughts on what I came up with.- Fri 13. Feb 2015, 19:27

Re: Parts Export Not Working
I've just been doing a screen shot. Shit+ctrl+4 I've been using this for a few things including getting a shot of the layout that I can scale to one page and fill to the edge. Work around, but it does work.

Re: V5.0 Document Size
I truly understand the thinking here Jan. Build the layout you want and let the program tell you what size desk you need. It's a cool idea in theory, but... Not so much in practice. Most of us (I'm sure there are exceptions) have a set space, or already have a table built to work off of. I think the...

feature requests
Maybe there is a way to do this already, or a feature that is in the works, but I would love to have a "On Hand" inventory. Being able to work with the track that I own and track that I need to buy would be awesome. A custom track list would get me part way there (Only showing the track I have) but ...
