I would to see more tutorials for the software. I mainly work with HO scale and Atlas track. There should be tutorials for 1) creating grades and multilevel layouts. 2) Working with tunnels. 3) scenery and labels. Some of the menus may look intuitive but not obvious at first. I'm not familiar with N scale but Use the one you're most comfortable with or you know that is reliable enough for your layout.

You could try flex track tool ctrl-f but i don't know if it exists for Kato. I'm more familiar with Atlas track.
