Two Test Layouts for HO

Hi

I'm new here and to Model Trains. I 'm just starting back into it and decided to make a couple of test layouts to try. There supposed to be in transition era showcasing steam and diesel from the PRR. If this looks too congested or complicated. I need any advice for cleaning this up and setting up DC blocks or if this is a good start for a beginner.

I am more of a fan of continuous run so i gave it a standard loop on a 4x8 board with some switching and industries. The first one uses a single loop, and the second one uses two parallel main lines but its very close to the edges of the 4x8 board,
