3D Modeling - Terrain and Structures

I'm currently using RMP to design our club's new modular layout using the Speed-Mo concept.
As these modules will have terrain and buildings of various shapes, and we need to be aware of the heights for transportation purposes.
I was hoping RMP would allow me to create the 3d shapes. Not yet, apparently
Do you have any timeframe in mind for this capability? I've signed up for the Beta program so I can help test the new features when available.

Thanks in advance,
Fred

Hello Fred,

thanks for the feedback - no time frame yet.

Feel free to share your requirements, though - would min/max. elevation stats for tracks in the layout help?
Also you might also want to use text labels in the layout to indicate e.g. highest points, etc?

Cheers,
Jan

Jan - thanks for the reply. I am expecting to use labels for any structures for the time being. However, it's not really useful to try depicting terrain as a series of labels.

I'm going to try using a shape and form it for some terrain, but it's going to be very tedious. Right now, I only have to worry about 18 modules, but we have designs for an additional 20 already, and more are being conceived every week.

Really willing to alpha test this :)
