Missing joints

Hi all,
I have a problem with (some of) my joints. Usually you get a yellow circle when a new track needs to be added. But sometimes, this circle (hence a connection point) is missing, leading to an open joint when I try to close a gap. Here is an example of 2 tracks without an indication for a potential track to be added
Any help someone can provide?
