Tolerance for Unconnected Joints

I have highlighted Unconnected Joints and tried to repair, but do not understand what the reason for unconnected. In some cases I have used Smart Insert to fill the gap, but it still leaves me with the dreaded Yellow Dot.

How do I know if this is an issue or not? Seem the tolerance could be set somewhere to indicate how significant the issue is and if it could be corrected when going to lay track in real.

Thanks

So I found that in settings - it is set to 5% in the setting menu. SInce I am doing a N Scale - that means 0.02 * 5% = 0.001 inch distance or greater to drive the indication of yellow dot.

So any way to tell how big that unconnected joint is? I guess I could increment the % setting until it goes away.

I agree it can be annoying when this happens. What I did last time was zoom right in on the join in question, after changing the grid to 1 mm, which gave a fairly good idea of how big the mismatch was. In my case it was about 2mm which was easy to fix when assembling the track.

The ability to display why joints are unconnected is (kind of) already built into the app - I just need to add the controls to let you turn it on.
I'll be adding this option soon, time allowing.

In the meantime, have you tried zooming in and using the tape measure tool to check the gap size?

Thanks,
