Missing Track pieces Gauge L / Lego

Post by schwede »

I just started with Railmodeller and I am a former Bluebrick user.
It is great to have a tool, which is compatible to Mac and is able to visualize height levels.
Currently I import my layout to Railmodeller and I came across some missing Lego unofficial but commonly used track pieces.
First are the modified switch points with a direct turnout.
Second are the single crossover between 2 parallel tracks.
Is there a chance those, in total, 4 pieces are added to the library? At the moment I use curves to kind of simulate the pieces.

Hello Schwede,

So by unofficial you are referring to parts that are not produced by LEGO?

Yes, exactly, not made by Lego, but made out of Lego parts and commonly used in most more sophisticated layouts.
Here a Link to Brickdimensions

The two modified switches and a half R40 curve would be enough, the rest can be done by using fx track and combining those together with the two switches.

Hi,
https://trixbrix.eu/ has them in their portfolio, otherwise and for Lego 9V it is DIY modification.
Is their a chance those pieces are added to the library or can I add the in any way?

Another "hint",
I just have found out, that with the piece Lego 9V double crossover is something wrong in spacing, it seems like the track spacing is of.
