Curved shapes
Curved shapes
I want to draw a curved platform onto my plan. How do I go about doing this?

Re: Curved shapes
Hello Rob,
one option would be a circle shape from the Shape pop-up menu in the toolbar and configure it to show only a circle segment:
Another option would be just a poly shape with enough points to resemble the desired platform shape.
Hope this helps,
Jan

Re: Curved shapes
Thanks.
The circle option is difficult to use as I currently have a curved piece of track with a curve radius of 500cm and an arc angle of 10. A 10 degree circle that large affects the size of the document as it creates a bounding square.
I'll live with a polygon, and live with having to re-do all the polygon points when I change the arc angle of the track..

Re: Curved shapes
P.S. We've got an open feature request for a dedicated curve tool, which will also come in handy when we eventually dive into (3D) terrain modeling.
It's on the to-do list, just a matter of finding the right time to tackle it:

The more interest in this feature, the better the chances it'll get added rather sooner than later..
Cheers,
Jan
