I am very new to RailModeller (installed yesterday) but very old with regards to model railways (started when I was 7 years old, 60+ years ago) and this note to comment on how pleased I am to find that RM (Express) includes the H.D. 3 Rail library <BIG smile>!
In the past I was (and to a limited extent still use) a Windows user and changing to Linux / Mac was an issue with regards to planning my layout.
Well, from what I have experienced so far, RailModeller is MUCH better than the alternative tried (XTrk) <another smile>.
Both from a financial and a 'requirements' perspective (there is only so much you can do with H.D. 3 Rail) I unfortunately will not be 'upgrading' to the pro edition but never the less wanted to express (no pun intended but this word does sound appropriate!) my thanks to the developer for making available a 'free' version AND including the H.D. 3 Rail library.
Oh, my collection of H.D. includes my first layout and everything that pocket money, birthdays and Christmas supplied! Have been adding as and when opportunity presents itself since 'growing up' but 'collectors' have priced majority of items beyond my budget.
I am also proudly a member of HRCASA (Hornby Railway Collectors Association of South Africa), member #64.
