RailModeller Pro 6.6.0 (7. Nov 2025)

RailModeller Pro 6.6 adds:

• A new Layout menu grouping all layout-level operations: adding baseboards and images, auto-colorizing, minimizing track count, mirroring, and a new Shrink to Fit with Margin command
• A new Baseboard menu for baseboard operations including rotation, mirroring, ordering, and controlling dimension display
• New customization options in Display Settings: Element labels now support background fills, outlines, and rotation for improved readability
• A refreshed Part List dialog with improved previews, new alias column, and a contextual Add to Stock command for quickly adding to the inventory
• Improved Find Elements feature with new options to search selectively by name, alias, description, or library name as well as model scale filtering
• A new Track Height/Grade Entry dialog for direct entry and editing of height and grade for individual tracks
• New visibility controls in the 3D Settings Inspector for bumpers, tunnel portals, track marks, and baseboards, plus additional texture options
• Improved 3D view with better lighting, performance and visual fixes for bumpers, trestles and track elements

Additional changes in version 6.6 include
• Release history now easily accessible from the Welcome window via "What's New" link
• Part List CSV export can now include header row and index column
• Stock CSV export can now include header row and description column
• New setting for more control on height label positioning
• New "Apply Default Color to Layer Elements" function in the Layer menu
• JMRI export now supports triple turnouts
• Fixed issue where temporary files were not being cleaned up properly during file operations
• Updated user guide


RailModeller Pro 6.6 is compatible with both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Maintenance update RailModeller Pro 6.5.10 includes:

• Optional app icon badges to notify of new Community Layouts
• Added preference to disable Community Layouts app icon badge
• Fixed compatibility issue on macOS 10.13
• Addressed potential crash in QuickLook plugin


RailModeller Pro 6.5.9 (22. May 2025)

Maintenance update RailModeller Pro 6.5.9 includes:
• Optional app icon badges to notify of new Community Layouts
• Fixed a grid drawing issue on baseboards
• Fixed an issue with automatic placement of tunnel portals for partial tunnel sections
• Fixed a refresh issue in 3D view affecting track bases

This update also includes updates to the bundled library catalog, an updated user guide and various bug fixes and improvements.


RailModeller Pro 6.5.8 (4. Apr 2025)

The update to version 6.5.8 fixes a crash for users running the app on macOS 12 or 13.


RailModeller Pro 6.5.7 (31. Mar 2025)

Maintenance update RailModeller Pro 6.5.7 brings:
• A new option in Preferences to control the delay before displaying layer previews
• New keyboard shortcuts for enhanced productivity: Move images and baseboards with arrow keys, copy measurements in the Tape Measure tool
• Fixed issues with the helix info overlay when creating a new track helix on older macOS versions

This update also includes additions and updates to the bundled library catalog, an updated user guide and various bug fixes and improvements.


RailModeller Pro 6.5.6 (18. Mar 2025)

The latest improvements include:
• Modernized Quick Look plug-in for improved layout previews in the Finder and file dialogs
• Improved 3D view performance
• Enhanced Mirror Layout feature for better handling of images
• Fixed an issue when inserting parallel curved tracks with opposite orientation
• More efficient memory usage
• Various bug fixes and improvements.

This update also includes additions and updates to the bundled library catalog of track systems and accessories.


RailModeller Pro 6.5 adds
• A Mirror Layout feature allowing you to flip your entire layout horizontally or vertically
• Simplified one-click 1:1 PDF export - easily share your layouts with print shops for professional printing
• Improved visual feedback for tools

Additional changes in version 6.5 include
• Image export now supports up to 25,000 pixels when saving as PSD, PNG, or other image formats
• Tweaked QuickFilter now showing remaining elements when the last filter is selected
• Slightly enhanced 3D view with improved track base rendering
• Updated user guide
• Fixed various minor bugs and cosmetic issues

Great Update.
Thanks for the continued support and improvements to the best model railroad design software available.
For anyone out there disapointed about lack of multi-platform support take heed, this one piece of software is worth purchasing a Mac for.

Work on version 6.7 is already underway, including several long-requested features.
Also starting to lay groundwork for 7.0 - aiming for 2026 (fingers crossed..) with a new module that'll take the app in a new direction.
