Cannot move track or other objects with the mouse

Post by gnfan 2018 »

I am having a problem where I can select an object on the plan but cannot move it. I can rotate it, delete it and move it using the arrow keys on my keyboard but I cannot move it (drag) around using the mouse. I can add a new track but once it is on the plan I can’t move it around using the mouse either.

I tried just quitting the application and restarting but it does the same thing. I restarted the whole computer and then launched Rail Modeller. It worked for a few pieces of track and then started with the same issue. Again being unable to drag a piece of track or any object around using the mouse.

I can however, move baseboards around using the mouse.
Naturally this makes layout design impossible to do.

Any idea as to what is causing this and how to resolve it?
Is there some setting I have changed inadvertently?

Mac OS 14.5
Rail Modeler Version 6.4.27 (Build 1525)

..first thing you could always check:

If you've configured RailModeller Pro on your Mac to use the Fixed mode for the canvas (see The Drawing Canvas section in the app's User Guide) it has to reject any content exceeding the canvas size you've specified for the particular layout in the Document settings in the sidebar.

The app will show an appropriate message in the status bar at the bottom of the window that case

All the best,
