Cannot exit Edit Text Mode on El Capitan

After I create a text shape and change the text, I cannot get RailModellerPro to accept the typing. That is, I cannot get it to exit “Edit Text” mode. ESC results in escaping from text editing but my typing is replaced with “text”. ENTER adds a line feed. I tried all the meta-ENTER keys but they don’t work. How do I exit edit text mode?

I am on El Capitan 10.11.6 and RailModellerPro 5.1.5 Build 611

Clicking outside the text box does not work either. It behaves like the ESC key

sorry for the delay, just returned from our summer break.

Can you get in touch via email? There's an open issue infrequently causing problems for users but so far we haven't been able to track it down nor produce it locally.

Can you please send an email to our support address?
You can simply invoke the "Send Email" command from the Help menu in the app.
