Lock down the board

Post by Bnaglorebob »

I note that you can lock down a layer, but getting frustrated that when making changes to track layout I end up grabbing the whole board. Anyway the board and board size can be locked down to stop this happening?

I'm assuming that by board you're referring to a shape in your layout?
In this case it might be easiest to simply put the shape in a dedicated layer of its own and lock the layer.

Jan, I dont seem to have explained myself well.
1. I want to create an L shaped Templete, lock that template so that the L Shaped templete doesn't move, then build my track on this template. I find the problem at the moment is when I "grab" a piece of track I sometimes "grab" the template and move it about

Thanks in advance.

At the moment you can lock an entire layer but not individual objects. You might want to create a layer for the shape (template) you'd like to protect from moving and lock the entire layer using the lock icon in the Layer List.

This will prevent any object in the locked layer from accidentally being moved.

Hope this helps,
Jan
