THIS PRODUCT IS NOT READY!

Post by sacto_steve »

When the answer to most comments regarding missing features, which are currently available in the "Classic" version, is that "they are coming soon", THE PRODUCT IS NOT READY.
As another commenter suggested, you are forcing/tricking users into providing your beta testing, AND CHARGING US FOR THE "privilege".
I would have been happy to participate in a beta test program but at this point I feel duped.

This is not the way to do business and support a formerly loyal clientele.

IMHO The "right" thing to do is pull this version until it reliably provides, at a minimum, the functionally of the classic.

I think the developer is well aware of that, if you read the rest of the forum. And that's why it's in beta state and the product is available for a reduced price. Yes there are missing features, but there are also new features that were not in feature 4. Development is going fast and new features and fixes are available in the beta releases nearly every week.

The beta program is still open I think, at least the application form is still there... https://confirmsubscription.com/h/t/1277FD4FA8444FCB

I have mixed feelings about it now. It's much more stable than the initial release, and combined with the offering with a reduced price I'm kind of ok with it, but still I think the description in the app store should include a warning that the program is not fully functional (= missing features) and not up to speed with version 4 yet.

Thank You, but a refund is not necessary, or desired.
I believe Railmodeller 4, "Classic", to be an excellent product and I fully expect this new version to exceed even that, once it is fully developed.
I did want to express my displeasure at the premature roll-out of the new product as a not fully functional equivalent.

I myself am perfectly happy with the early rollout. As stated before... reduced price and the beta testing process as well as having a REAL voice in helping with the development of a truly excellent product. If you are wanting a fully developed version, you can go back to RM4... If you want to be part of the newest version with updates and rollouts often, RM5... If you want to be on the bleeding edge, RM5 Beta program.
I'm not sure what this thread is meant to address specifically, other that to offer of a place to bitch about RM5 still being a work in progress.
I for one and glad they released early, or we may not have seen it for another year.
I'm not that patient. ;-)

Keep up the great work RM Pro team... There are many here that support you.
