Building several ladder yards. Is there any way to connect separated pieces, e.g a switch and a straight piece of flex track, automatically, with the program selecting the radius and arc of the curved connecting section and putting it in place?

Have you tried the 'Connect with Flex Track' function from the Assistants in the toolbar?
More details are also in the Smart Insert section in the manual!
