Bending Marklin Flex-track 2205

Post by JackX »

Hi there!

When bending marklin flex-track 2205, using the Element side bar (bending to either straight or curved form), the 2205 track always bend to the right. If I want it to bend to the left, it seems I must bend it "by hand" to the left before I push the curved link. Is there a way I can make the 2205 bend the way I want it?

Cheers!

Well, there really is no left or right curved track - it's just a matter of how you look at the track.

Rotating the track (e.g. quickly with the Command-L, Command-R shortcuts or precisely with the inspector to the right) will position it accordingly.
In order to exactly position a curved track so it turns the other way it would require a delta angle of 180 - arc angle of curve.

Hope this makes sense,

Uh ... no. I´ve tried to put an angle in the form 180 - arc angle of curve i.e. 180-45, but once the flex trac 2205 has been fixed to the joint, and I adjust using the Element side bar (bending either straight or curved form) no matter how I try to put in any angle, the flex track bends to the right.

Cheers!

All the best,

If the track is already connected it's even easier:

You can just use the Rotate Connected Joint function from the Element menu or the shortcut (Space).
This will work for all tracks connected with one joint to other tracks.

Hope this helps,

Awesome! The Common Keyboard Shortcuts chapter is linked from the first page of the help manual (Help > RailModeller Pro Help),
the Space shortcut is also mentioned next to the menu item (Element > Rotate Connected Joint).
