Open Recent in RailModeller is always empty (edit)

Post by nittany4 »

Hello,

The "Open Recent" menu item IN THE APP on my Mac Pro is AWALYS empty. Any idea how to populate it again? Is there a pref file I should trash?
I use the app on a MacBook Pro as well and the menu works in the app on that machine.

The Recents works in the finder and every other app that offers it (EDIT)

Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks

Hi there,

something could confuse the OS to not properly fill the menu with documents you've opened..
Does the problem persist after rebooting the machine?

And just to be on the safe side:
Can you check whether recent items are enabled on the machine? The setting should not be None but a number bigger than zero.
The setting can be found in the System Preferences like this:

Helo,

Thank you for the response. After you answered I realized I was somewhat ambiguous. The recents works fine in the finder, it just doesn't work in the RailModeler App.

Hello again,

Ok, so if the "Recent Items" in "System Preferences" is enabled and a restart doesn't change anything can you try quitting RailModeller Pro and type this command in the Terminal app (from Finder > Go > Utilities) using a user with administrative privileges:

Code: Select all

defaults delete com.railmodeller.RailModeller-Pro

Thanks,
Jan
