Exact positioning of baseboard points

I'm struggling with setting up a custom baseboard accurately and feel like I'm missing something obvious.

Is there a way to say "this point should be at position X/Y, this other point should be at position X/Y, etc." rather than trying to manually drag each one to the exact position (and always being a few mm off) I need it in?

Hello -
have you tried holding down the Shift key while moving to restrict point positions to grid lines?
Let us know if this helped!

Cheers,
Jan

The recent update to RailModeller Pro 6.4 now includes a point editor for baseboards that allows to review and enter precise point positions:

Just go to the baseboard layer and select any baseboard using the Select tool in order to show the baseboard properties and positions of its corner points in the new inspector in the sidebar to the right.

When a corner point in the list is selected for editing it will also highlight in red in the layout editor.

I installed RailModeller Pro 6.4 and not seeing the point editor. If I edit a baseboard and select a point, all the points get blue (like in the older versions) and nothing changes in the sidebar.

Either I'm missing something or there's a bug.

Hi Markus,

Can you please try again with the latest update 6.4.1 fixing a potential issue with the point editor?

Cheers,
Jan
