Currently a "top and side" view of the layout is available via the Layout control in the toolbar.
The plan it to enhance the 3D planning capabilities with full terrain modeling, tunnels, bridges, 3D structures placed at arbitrary heights - this "enhanced three-dimensional viewing mode" is scheduled for later this year.
In the meantime, a "simple" three-dimensional view will be added as an intermediate feature to view tracks in 3D (in the coming weeks)!
Cheers,
Jan

				Hi there -
quick update on 3D support:
Version 5.0.11 (currently in beta testing) will feature a new mode for viewing tracks in 3D.
The enhanced 3D mode with terrain modeling, 3D structures placed at arbitrary heights, etc. is still scheduled to follow later.
Cheers,
Jan

				Hi,
any news and timeframe รค about the timeframe for 3D modeling? I'm interested to buy your app but 3D modeling is essential for me.

				Hi there,
The simple 3D mode for tracks has been available for a couple of months.
Full terrain modelling is scheduled for a future release. No dates yet, sorry.
We're currently focusing on the items outlined in our
road map for this year, specifically
- tunnel tracks,

- background images,

- fully localized libraries,

- built-in support for base boards.

Can't promise anything on top of that - but we'll try hard!
Cheers,
Jan
