NEW TO RAILMODELLER..

Post by kevinb »

Hi,

To be completely honest?

I have no idea how to use this at all. I live in Haiti and previously on my old window base Toshiba I used the free version of 'Anyrail'. Since my laptop has given up the ghost I have invested in a Mac Pro Retina.

As 'Anyrail' is not supported on Mac, I purchased this.

I am unable to connect the rails, I have no idea how to reduce the size of the track so that I can see the whole plan, Im just finding it incredibly frustrating.

I knows it my ignorance but I cant find the answers I am looking for, I like to see the plan develop as a whole...

Any tips gratefully received..

By the way I am using Atlas O scale 3 rail track ..

Hi Ken,

Did you check out the initial tutorial? It should give a basic overview:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBMKCaOCCJw

To insert an element from the current library into the layout it can be dragged from the Library Catalog to the drawing canvas.
Any dragged track element will snap automatically to free joints of track elements in the layout when both joints are close.

Track elements can also be appended directly to tracks in the layout. When the mouse cursor is close to an unconnected joint of a layout track element a preview of the track currently selected in the Library Catalog is shown.

A click will then append the track. Multiple copies of the track last inserted can be added by simply selecting the desired count of copies in the Repeat dialog, which is shown every time a track element is appended.

Hope this answers some questions,
Jan
