Got -it!!! The secret is; after the section(s) is highlighted, one MUST click and hold on the track piece itself. Then the move can happen. If one just clicks and holds in the highlighted square, then the highlighted area disappears.

The "drag or move" you are talking about doesn't seem to work. I highlight the track that I want, chose Select Connecting Elements, but when I try to drag it to a new location the box just disappears. I am using a MAC Book Pro (2012) with a touch pad.

How do I move a section of track?
I have placed several curved sections of track and would like to move the entire radius from one spot on the grid to another. How do I do this?
I have been able to highlight the entire curved sections but that only allows me to pivot around in a circle.
